Topic: Re: Church website

I have been using Biblegateway.com to link bible verses two articles and sermons on our church web site. Is there a better way to link Bible verses to a web site then going off the site to do it. Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Re: Church website

Yeah, there is. Go on over to http://fucoder.com/code/scripturizer-js/.

Add that into your header, as I have, and your verses will be linked liked this page: http://robertrevans.com/article/ping-homilies-love

Re: Re: Church website

Verry interesting. I never knew about that. Thanks for asking the question oldman1 and thanks for providing that link Robert.

Wasn't sure how to use the BibleGateway option; could you upload a code for that?

Also, is it possible to change what version is being linked too? I couldn't figure that out either.

Thanks for any help...

Re: Re: Church website

You can look at their demo page (http://fucoder.com/wp-content/scripturi … -test.html) and select the drop down for what you want verion you can use. Also, on their main page (http://fucoder.com/code/scripturizer-js/) there is a customization section that talks about using Bible Gateway. Their sample code is:

<script type="text/javascript"  src="/scripturizer.js?element=sidebar&amp;new_window=1&amp;version=niv">
</script>

Using esv or esvpopup will use Good news publisher, otherwise Bible Gateway will be used. The version at the end is where you can change your Bible translation.
