Topic: Church Member

Hello everyone. I just released an alpha version of Church Member which is a church management system. It is very basic and lightweight, built using procedural PHP. I would love it if people would be willing to test it out on a development server. Sometime soon 1.0-stable will be released once there is more cleanup and design changes, and I am already planning 3.0 which will be a total rewrite using a templating system to separate markup from php code. If interested you can check out the demo and/or download it from the trunk.

Church Member has been updated. There is now a lite and pro version with lots more features to really make it a more robust church management system versus just a social network. You can download a 15 day free trial version of CM Pro from the store to test out.

I tried the demo site and it's a good start. You have quite a bit of functionality available. However, I think it looks too much like Facebook. Was that intended?

Is the code still available to download and view?

@Yannick, thank you. At first it wasn't intended but it ended up being that way, but a lot of people like Facebook, and I think familiarity helps as well. At some point, I will introduce skinning, so that it will be easy to change the color scheme and images, so that it doesn't seem so Facebook-like. Yes, the lite version is available for download as well as the pro version, which is available free for 15 days. You can check out the following pages for download:
