Topic: IE Mac makes me sad
Any thoughts on why donovanworks looks totally jacked in IE/Mac? I'm assuming it has something to do with floats, but everything I've tried throws everything all wonky.

Because IE/Mac sucks. It is 2 years old, and the only good thing it does is support transparent pngs. Go to MSN.com with it, and realize that Microsoft doesn't even support it with their sites anymore. IE/Mac was dropped when Safari came out, and very few people even use it anymore. I don't really know how you would fix the bugs. Sorry.
Microsoft doesn't support IE Mac anymore. No sense wasting your time supporting a browser that the manufacturer itself doesn't even support.
Donovan: In all the websites I do, I link to the stylesheet with single quotes, which makes IE Mac render the page in defaults, white background and Times New Roman font. Basically, it hides the stylesheet. I do this to send the message that IE Mac doesn't matter anymore. Rather than worry about it, and have people see my designs as slightly messed up, I just drive the point home: "Get a new browser." ![]()
Hehe... IE5/Mac hasn't been updated since 2000. Wikipedia: Internet Explorer for Mac
I wouldn't worry at all about support for that browser. People still using it are pretty much used to a "screwed up web" by this point...
IE Mac is out of date. Got it.
IE Mac makes me sad too. Actually even IE for Windows makes me sad, come to think of it.
lol ... now now Ryan... it'll be okay... it'll be okay...
