Topic: PHP Mailing list

I'm looking for a very simple to use php mailing list to integrate with a website. Only want user to have to enter in email address (once - no confirmation needed, no multiple lists) and boom it's done... please don't say phplists.com as I wasn't impressed by that solution

Thanks

Re: PHP Mailing list

What if you wrote your own script? Shouldn’t be that difficult… wink

Daniel,

PHPlist is an open source email list manager. It's pretty powerful and you get all the source code so you could modify it up to your heart's contentment.

Well, he didn't say phplists, after all! wink

Maybe Tobias (john316) (Hi Tobi!) was volunteering? big_smile If not, I have no idea if these will be any use, but I had a moment or two to scratch around:
http://phpemaillist.sourceforge.net - http://sourceforge.net/projects/uwsnewsadmin - http://infinite.ibasics.biz - http://freshmeat.net/projects/letterit.

FWIW....

Re: PHP Mailing list

aw man...and I thought I read that post carefully. My bad Daniel. I agree PHP list is a pretty ugly solution but it does have some pretty powerful options.

At my prior job, I just rolled my own with a database and used phpmailer for handling the sending of the emails. But dealing with spam lists, getting white listed by mail servers (or whoever you need to get white listed by) was a pain in the neck.

Re: PHP Mailing list

No worries

Yeah that's partly why I don't want to do a custom solution - I've heard others say they've run into getting blacklisted and whatnot... I think I'm going to end up going with phplist in the end, even though I think it's way overkill, but it seems to be the most recommended of the lot
